Puerto Mogan is well served by buses running along the coast to Puerto Rico, Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles and there is an hourly regular "directo" service, (91) to Las Palmas as well as the much slower number one bus. There's also an hourly service between the port and the village of Mogan, but you need to check the timetable as it does have some gaps in it, such as early afternoon.
There's a taxi rank by the kiosk by the roundabout next to the pedestrian bridge nearest the sea, though it is a good idea to obtain a number for the taxis, as there aren't always taxis waiting there.
You can also travel by ferry to Puerto Rico and Arguineguin with Bluebird or Lineas Salmon - it's a great way to see the cliffs and some of the smaller, inaccessible bays. On Friday mornings the incoming ferries are packed with visitors to the market and in the afternoon there a long queues waiting for the outbound one, so unless you love crowds, plan your voyage accordingly!
There are several places where you can hire a car, and some estate agents and apartment rental agencies also act as car-hire agencies.
For comfort, convenience and a more personal service for lone travellers, families and larger groups travelling together transferring between Las Palmas and Puerto Mogan and other destinations in Gran Canaria.
